A reflection on the Gospel for Easter Sunday

In places where there are seasons, spring is a sign of new life. Trees and plants that were totally bare and dry are suddenly blooming again. If we did not know about the cycle of seasons, we would think that they would never ever bloom again. Sometimes we may think that we are in impossible situations, from which we will never come out of. And yet, the most impossible things happen today, when everything seemed to be lost. The disciples of Jesus thought everything seemed to lost, that Jesus had failed. There is nothing as final and decisive as death. Death, by all appearances, is the most definite and irreversible of events. And yet, today we see victory over the impossible. The tomb, that great shell, is empty. What was impossible, has happened. Death has not had the final word.

Dear Parishioners:

During the past year we have continued to grow as a community of faith and love in God here at St Bruno Parish. We have witnessed our faith being expressed not only in our Sunday Eucharist, but also in the very spirit and tone of the parish: a warm love that reaches out to one another. Our prayer and wish for the parish is that this Easter will bring us all a deeper awareness of our faith in God and our need to love one another. We take this opportunity to thank you for your cooperation and participation in our parish work and extend to you and your loved ones our prayerful best wishes for a Holy and Blessed Easter Day and Easter Time.

A Very Happy Easter to all of you from the Pastor and Staff at St. Bruno’s Church.

Queridos Feligreses:
